Speaking 3 August 2008 on Maharishi Global Family Chat, Raja Tom Stanley, Raja of Invincible Ireland for the Global Country of World Peace, reported developments in planning for the new Maharishi Peace Palace, to be located in the heart of Belfast in Northern Ireland.

The Peace Palace will consist of two towers, one facing East and the other facing North according to Vastu principles, located on Peter's Hill near the heart of Belfast. The six-storey towers have been designed with the direct inspiration and attention of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Founder of the Global Country of World Peace, said Raja Stanley.

The towers will be located in a very busy tourist area, with double-decker tour buses passing the site nearly 10 times each day. 'One of our plans for the Peace Palace towers is to include a tourist office alongside our other offices,' said Raja Stanley, 'so that we can easily offer Maharishi's programmes to Northern Ireland's tourists, in addition to its residents.'

National Directors of Ireland for the Global Country of World Peace Dr Andrea Gribbin and Dr Gerry Gribbin have gained the support of the Lower Shankill community, where the Peace Palace is to be located. Raja Stanley explained that they had presented Maharishi's programmes to community leaders and members, whose approval will make an important contribution to the success of the project. Dr Andrea Gribbin is currently working with the local government on further support for the project.

As a former centre of social and religious violence in Northern Ireland, Lower Shankill has benefited greatly from the influence of Maharishi's recent focus on the area. As they have progressed with the implementation of his plans for the Peace Palace and other programmes, 'we've seen much of the violence dissolve over the last several months; opposing groups have begun reconciling their differences, and focusing on their common cultural heritage,' reported Raja Stanley.
