What is meant by consciousness and its role in health care and self-development? What is the relationship of consciousness to physiology, and what implications does this relationship have for health, contentment, and well-being? This Continuing Education Grand Rounds Webinar will provide physicians and others with greater understanding and familiarity with modalities to expand consciousness and nurture physical, mental, and social well-being for themselves and their patients.  

After attending this event, participants will be able to:  

1. Define consciousness and self-actualization, and describe their importance for achieving optimal health.  
2. Describe physiological effects of growth of consciousness and self-actualization.  
3. Identify evidence-based modalities for development of consciousness, reducing stress, and enhancing physiological balance.  

Tony Nader, M.D., Ph.D., is a medical doctor trained at Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Ph.D. in neuroscience) and a globally recognized expert in the science of consciousness and human development. His writings investigate the relationship between mind, body, consciousness, and physiology. Dr. Nader directs the global organizations that teach the Transcendental Meditation technique.
