12 July 2008
On 12 July 2008 Merinews reported:
A Vedic lifestyle, described in traditional Indian literature, and which includes the practice of Transcendental Meditation, will help prevent disease, reverse the aging process, and calm the mind, medical studies say.
It is a joy for Global Good News service to feature this news, which indicates the success of the life-supporting programmes Maharishi has designed to bring
fulfilment to the field of health.
The ancient Indian Ayurvedic text on internal medicine written by Charaka, known as the Charaka Samhita, describes ways to prevent or reverse disease, restore health, and maintain health 'up to the level of Samaprakriti (natural genetic transformation to the optimum level of genetic health)—immortal state (naishthiki chikitsa),' the article reported.
A vegetarian diet is recommended to keep both mind and body healthy.
The article stated, 'One can get more than enough proteins and other essential nutrients by eating a balanced vegetarian diet of fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, dairy products, nuts and seeds.'
Part of a healthy Vedic lifestyle includes incorporating Transcendental Meditation into one's daily routine.
The Merinews reported, ' . . . many people have (gotten) relief from back pain, neck pain, and depression. . . . Anger, anxiety and worries give way to peace.'
Medical studies have verified that the practice of Transcendental Meditation helps reduce high blood pressure, stress, and stress-related illnesses, including heart disease.
'Brain images show that regular meditation helps calm the most active sensory-assaulted parts of the brain,' the article stated.
Every day Global Good News documents the rise of a better quality of life dawning in the world and highlights the need for introducing Natural Law based—Total
Knowledge based—programmes to bring the support of Nature to every individual, raise the quality of life of every society, and create a lasting state of world peace.
